Motor-Classic Zrt. based in Tatabánya has expanded its production area with a new 2,000 square meters production hall with CNC metal processing. Motor-Classic restores classic cars and manufactures customized metal parts. The investment volume for the project, including modern technologies and a solar roof system, amounted to HUF 1.5 billion (EUR 3.8 million), with a subsidy intensity of 40%.
The considerable capacity expansion of the CNC department enables the production of small series, customized workpieces, including machine tool parts, but also production for the company’s own classic car restoration department and classic car parts for the export markets.
Motor-Classic Zrt. started in 1985 as a so-called “garage company” for the restoration of vintage motorcycles and today operates a world-class restoration base with 150 employees on 5000 square meters in an industrial area of Tatabánya. The company is the only one in Europe to have its own high-performance galvanizing plant. Every year, 20-25 vehicles are restored. Its most important customers include the Mercedes factory museum and the Mercedes Classic Club network. The waiting list for new orders is 1-2 years.
Motor-Classic Zrt. was able to increase its sales revenue from HUF 3.6 billion (EUR 12.7 million) to just over HUF 5 billion (EUR 1.3 billion) and net profit from HUF 810 million (EUR 3.3 million) in the last completed financial year 2022.
