Nestlé Hungária – Another billion euro investment in Bük

Nestlé Hungária is expanding Purina’s pet food plant in Bük with an investment of HUF 55 billion (approx. EUR 142 million). As a result of the investment, 130 new jobs are expected to be created.

In addition to the new plant, the Swiss-owned food company is building two new automated production lines at its Bük site, where it will be able to produce 500,000 tons of pet food annually from 2025. 85% of the products are to be exported.

Although Nestlé does not receive any state subsidies, the state is providing the necessary infrastructure developments, such as the modernization of the road and water network.

The project is an integral part of Nestlé Hungária’s five-year development plan for the period 2020-2025, which envisages investments of HUF 300 billion (EUR 775 million) and the creation of around 600 new jobs.
