The conversion of underutilized office space is also becoming increasingly important on the Hungarian real estate market. Here, however, these properties will not be used as residential buildings or rental apartments, but as hotels.
The increase in hotel capacity is also justified by the dynamic rise in occupancy rates at Budapest hotels: in 2023, the number of overnight stays rose by almost 20 percent, almost reaching the pre-covid pandemic level.
