The Swiss company Europtec Kft. is building its fourth 2,500 square meters production hall in Zalaegerszeg with an investment of about EUR 5 million, announced the company’s managing director, Gábor Belső. However, the total investment over six years will be EUR 12 million.
The company manufactures precision plastic components, settled in Zalaegerszeg 33 years ago and employs 180 people. The third hall was opened seven years ago and the fourth hall will be inaugurated in the summer following the ongoing construction work.
Europtec entered the healthcare industry ten years ago. The new investment will be dedicated entirely to the production of plastic parts for surgical and diagnostic devices.
The HIPA National Investment Promotion Agency provided state subsidies of HUF 1 billion (EUR 2.5 million) for the development, which will also create 80-100 new jobs.
