Thyssenkrupp Components Technology Hungary is opening an automotive engineering office in Győr. The Győr office will work closely with the electrical and electronics automotive development centres in Budapest, Szeged and Veszprém. Győr will focus on the development of electromechanical steering systems, vehicle dynamics and steer-by-wire systems.
Thyssenkrupp plans to increase the number of its engineers in Hungary by more than 200 over the next three years, with 20 initially earmarked in Győr. In addition to research centres in Szeged, Veszprém and Budapest, thyssenkrupp operates a chassis assembly plant in Győr, produces electro-mechanical power steering and camshafts in Jászfényszaru and stabilisers and coils in Debrecen. The company employs 2,800 people in Hungary and has invested HUF 150 billion (EUR 402 million) since 2015.
