Vajda-Papír Kft. handed over a new factory in Dunaföldvár with an investment of HUF 16 billion (EUR 40 million). The government funded the development with HUF 5.5 billion (EUR 13.8 million). The investment will create 50 new jobs while preserving the existing 600 jobs.
In Hungary, Vajda-Papír Group of companies produces about 55 percent of household hygiene paper products in our country, and these products account for almost three quarters of exports. With the development, the company is increasing its production capacity from 35,000 to 115,000 tonnes.
The new 14,212 square meters facility includes a production hall, base paper warehouse and pulp storage and preparation areas.
Vajda-Papír Kft. was established 22 years ago and employs around 650 people across the group. In 2013, the group entered the Norwegian market and employs more than 130 people. The company’s Ooops! branded and private label hygiene paper products – toilet paper, tissue paper, paper towels, paper napkins – are supplied to Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Central and Eastern Europe and more than 30 countries around the world.
