Unilever Magyarország Kft. is building a factory in Nyírbátor for the production of Axe, Rexona and Dove deodorants. The HUF 30 billion (EUR 75 million) project is being subsidized by the state with HUF 3.9 billion (EUR 9.75 million) as it will contribute to the creation of 100 new jobs. More than 90% of the products manufactured here are exported to the Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, Greece, Slovakia and Ukraine.
The new factory will produce 150 million bottles of deodorant annually. This will make Nyírbátor the plant with the fourth largest capacity in Unilever’s global network. Production is scheduled to start in the first half of 2026.
The British global group Unilever sells its products in more than 190 countries and employs 128,000 people worldwide, while Unilever Magyarország Kft. employs almost 1,300 people.
