SME funding – Interest-free loan offer extended

The Ministry of Economy has adjusted the conditions of the EU co-financed loan program GINOP Plus in response to current market needs. The program, which is endowed with HUF 155 billion (approx. EUR 390 million), is now available to a broader target group. The loan program is now also open to construction companies and land development projects.

The aim is to increase the productivity and added value of SMEs by promoting technological innovations. In addition, the program supports the establishment and expansion of capacities for the development and expansion of modern products and services, including investments in energy efficiency. SMEs can now apply for loans of up to EUR 5 million. At the same time, the required minimum number of employees per company has been lowered. Expenditure for the conversion, expansion, renovation or modernization of existing properties is eligible up to 50% of the total cost of the project. The costs for the purchase of capital goods can amount to up to 30% of the total eligible costs.
