From September, OTP Bank will be offering the Qvik instant payment services developed by the Hungarian National Bank (MNB) and Giro via SimplePay.
This innovation will fundamentally change payment transactions. Qvik is based on a standardized QR code, deep links and NFC technology. It aims to make transactions significantly cheaper and faster compared to card payments. For entrepreneurs who find accepting cards too costly, Qvik could be an attractive alternative. The solution is convenient, secure and free of charge.
Moreover, merchants and service providers do not need to undertake any additional development to offer the new option. They can simply use Qvik via the existing SimplePay solutions. The innovation will be used in both offline and online retail. Corresponding developments are also planned for POS terminals.
OTP Mobil invites technical service providers such as cash register operators, billing solution developers and webshops to participate in the development of Hungary’s largest payment network.
