SCHOTT Hungary Kft. – manufacturer of pharmaceutical glass products – laid the foundation stone for a new 6,000 square meters factory for prefillable syringes (PFS) in Lukácsháza. Production is scheduled to start here in autumn 2024. The government funds the HUF 128 billion (EUR 313 million) investment with HUF 3.3 billion (EUR 8 million), which will create 120 new jobs.
SCHOTT built the first plant in Lukácsháza 30 years ago. The location and production have been gradually expanded and currently almost 600 employees work here on an area of 26,000 square meters.
