Remred Zrt – a subsidiary of the 4iG Group – has laid the foundation stone for the first space technology manufacturing center in Hungary in Martonvásár (Fejér County). Production is scheduled to start in 2026 and will create 85 jobs. This means that the first satellite from Hungarian series production could be orbiting the earth around 2027/28.
Remred Zrt. is setting up a specialised laboratory in the 4,000 square meters technology production center. The greenfield investment will be realised using the latest technologies. The aim is a complex manufacturing process for the production of satellites weighing up to 400 kg.
Remred and its listed parent company 4iG are investing more than HUF 10 billion (EUR 25.6 million) in the Remtech technology center. As a strategic partner of the government, the 4iG Group has committed to high-tech investments totalling HUF 150 billion (EUR 385 million). Space engineers are trained in MBA programmes at Budapest University of Technology and Economics and, from September, at the University of Miskolc and ELTE.
