Since March 1, the mobile phone company Telenor Magyarország has been operating under the name Yettel Magyarország Zrt. The new brand name was also introduced in Serbia and Bulgaria. The company serves around 10 million customers in these three countries.

The name change occurred due to the expiry of Telenor’s naming rights, which the majority owner Czech PPF Group received in July 2018 from the previous owner for a period of 31 months.

For the customers of Yettel Magyarország Zrt. nothing changes, you can continue to use your existing contract with your subscription and the services contained therein under the previous conditions.

Telenor Magyarország was founded under the name of Pannon GSM and was the first company to launch a commercial GSM service in Hungary on March 27, 1994. The company, which is 75% owned by the Czech PPF Group and 25% by Antenna Hungária, is one of the leading mobile operators in the Hungarian market and employs over 1,100 people and has 3.1 million subscribers.
