The Japanese instant food manufacturer Nissin Foods is building its second European factory in Kecskemét. The HUF 40 billion (approximately EUR 100 million) investment will double the current production capacity for instant noodle soups in packets and cups.
A quarter of the investment costs is being covered by the Hungarian government to support the development. As a result, the number of employees in Kecskemét will increase to 600. Cutting-edge technologies will also be introduced, and primarily Hungarian raw materials will be used. Currently, over 250 million units are produced annually, with around 90% of them being exported to international markets.
