Japanese electronics giant TDK is investing HUF 26 billion (EUR 70 million) and creating 250 new jobs in Szombathely. The state is providing subsidies of HUF 6.6 billion (EUR 18 million) for the development.

The Hungarian Ministry of Defense has awarded a major order to the German Rheinmetall Group. Accordingly, Rheinmetall will supply Hungary with a wide range of ammunition worth several hundred million euros.

Audi Hungaria starts the production of the new CUPRA SUV model. The first CUPRA “Made in Győr” will roll off the production line in 2024.

The German WAREMA Group is realizing three projects in Nagykanizsa, Gyál and Pécs with a total value of HUF 11 billion (almost EUR 30 million).

MOL Petrolkémia Zrt. is building a propylene plant in Tiszaújváros at a cost of HUF 65 billion (EUR 175 million).

Hungary’s supply of natural gas and electricity is secured, confirmed by the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH). Regardless of the Ukraine war, Gazprom delivers reliably via the various pipelines. The Hungarian gas storage facilities are still about 20% full.

In view of the Coronavirus pandemic and the Ukraine war, security of supply has become a factor of national security, explained Foreign Trade Minister Péter Szijjártó in Tiszafüred at the inauguration of a new factory of ABO HOLDING Zrt.

By the end of the year, a new vehicle hall will be built at the AVL Hungary site near Budapest for HUF 6.3 billion (approx. EUR 17 million). The Graz-based AVL Group is a global leader in the development of drive systems.

The French SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions is expanding its capacities in Oroszlány. As part of the investment of HUF 9.6 billion (EUR 25 million), the largest European production capacity for water treatment membranes will be created here by September 2024, as well as 85 new jobs.

The Bosch Group is further expanding its research and development activities in Hungary. The company is building a development and testing complex in the immediate vicinity of the ZalaZone test track in Zalaegerszeg.
