Oil and gas company MOL has expanded its joint pilot project with state railway company MÁV to improve food and beverage services at train stations and on trains by launching a new location.

Travelers at Budapest Western Railway Station can now enjoy the “Fresh Corner” concept, already familiar from MOL service stations. In collaboration with MÁV, MOL had previously introduced a bistro car service on selected InterCity trains to Lake Balaton, as well as a kiosk at the capital’s Southern Railway Station.

Further steps will be determined based on the results of the current pilot phase.

Fresh Corner was introduced by MOL 10 years ago and is now present at more than 300 fuel stations across the country.

The MOL Group now generates 35% of its corporate revenue from non-fuel-related business segments, such as Fresh Corner.
