The Masterplast Nyrt. and KÉSZ Holding Zrt. signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the production of modular buildings. KÉSZ contributes to the development of modular buildings with steel constructions, Masterplast with insulating materials.
The test phase is complete, the first prototype with five modules was built in a single working day at the Sárszentmihály site and now they are concentrating on the market launch. According to Ács, the production capacity will initially be 500 modules per year. This can be increased with further investments.
The modular technology is a big step towards quality and precision. The parameters of the completed building are close to passive house, including the use of mechanical ventilation and other smart solutions. Modular houses could also be used to build townhouses, semi-detached houses or residential parks. For the time being, however, a market for industrial halls (offices, meeting rooms, changing rooms, social rooms) and accommodation buildings (dormitory homes, hotels, motels) is being sought.
