Manz Hungary Kft. – a subsidiary of Manz AG – changes hands for EUR 8 million. Harro Höfliger GmbH from Baden-Württemberg acquires the Hungarian company based in Debrecen.
Harro Höfliger intends to bring a whole series of production lines to Debrecen, where it also plans to build a new factory building and increase the workforce. Manz Hungary Kft. recently generated revenues of EUR 20 million with more than 200 employees. The new production hall is planned to be 9,800 square meters. 450-500 employees are then expected to generate revenues in the region of EUR 30-50 million.
Components for the production of microchips and batteries as well as components for packaging machines and the aircraft industry are manufactured in Debrecen. Following the change of ownership, this activity profile is to be supplemented by machines for the pharmaceutical industry and medical devices.
