The Chinese company Rizhao Wohe Aviation Service has ordered 50 Fusion aircraft from Magnus Aircraft Zrt.
Based at Pécs-Pogány Airport, the plane manufacturer Magnus has agreed to deliver the small aircraft to Rizhao within three years under a long-term cooperation agreement. Magnus Aircraft’s already established Chinese subsidiary has signed a commercial agreement with its new partner to sell 45 additional aircraft in China.
Magnus built a 7,000 square meters production base at Pécs-Pogány Airport in 2019 with subsidies of HUF 2 billion (EUR 5.3 million) and a total investment of HUF 6 billion (EUR 16 million). Despite the Covid pandemic, the company already built 10 Fusion aircraft in 2021 and as many as 15 last year. This year, 45-60 aircraft are to be produced. Magnus currently employs 80 people and plans to hire another 40 this year.
