Bosch – Electric steering systems from Maklár

Robert Bosch Automotive Steering Kft. will invest more than HUF 52 billion (EUR 130 million) in new production and logistics area of 70,000 sqm in Maklár by 2024.

The investment increases the company’s competitiveness and production capacities. The company manufactures steering systems and components for cars and trucks. The company, founded in 2003, supplies more than 3 million steering systems and their components every year. Hydraulic steering gear are produced in Eger, and electric steering systems are produced in Maklár.

At the two locations of the supplier to the automotive industry, the number of employees increased by 200 to 1,050 within a year. The Bosch Group has eight independent companies in Hungary with a total of around 17,000 associates.
