BMW Group has officially inaugurated its new plant in Debrecen, Hungary.
The facility was developed entirely in line with the company’s iFactory concept and is specifically designed for the production of electric vehicles. The new plant is the first of its kind within the BMW Group and is considered the most innovative production site of the company. It plays a key role in BMW’s strategic focus on electromobility.
Construction began in summer 2022, and serial production of the electric BMW iX3 is set to begin in October.
