AgroSprint Zrt. handed over a new production plant in Karcag with an investment of HUF 12 billion (EUR 32.4 million). Thanks to the capacity expansion, the site in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County will become the center of Europe in the market for frozen fruit and vegetables.
Due to the investment, the company is now able to produce a total of 70,000 tons of finished products. The automated, 9,500 square meters plant can process 15 types of fruit and vegetables. In addition, freezer capacities of 20,000 tons were created on 6,000 square meters. Several service facilities have been built, including a new biological wastewater treatment plant.
AgroSprint Zrt. achieved net sales of HUF 23.21 billion (EUR 62.7 million) last year, up from HUF 16.109 billion (EUR 43.5 million) the year before. Profit after tax in 2022 was HUF 3.242 billion (EUR 8.7 million), up from HUF 2.354 billion (EUR 6.3 million) the year before.
