4iG Space & Defence Technologies Plc. (4iG S&D) and EUTELSAT SA have signed a binding cooperation agreement. This agreement concerns frequency usage rights and orbital positions related to the implementation of the HUSAT program, which was announced on November 20, 2024.
The HUSAT program is the largest privately funded satellite initiative in Hungary and Central Eastern Europe. As part of the program, 4iG S&D plans to launch and operate a telecommunications satellite (HUGEO) in geostationary orbit, as well as eight additional high-resolution VHR1 Earth observation satellites (HULEO) in low Earth orbit. The HULEO constellation will include six electro-optical satellites (HUEOP) and two synthetic aperture radar satellites (HUSAR).
