UBM Holding Plc. – Expansion in Central Asia

The UBM Group is continuing its international expansion in Central Asia. Subsidiaries of the UBM Group have signed a cooperation agreement with AsiaAgro Food Joint Stock Company, which is part of the Kazakh KazFoodProducts Group.

The core of the agreement is the joint operation of a premix plant in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan. The plant, whose construction was announced by UBM a year ago, is designed for an annual capacity of 48,000 tons. The UBM Group will hold 70% of the shares in the facility, while the KazFoodProducts Group will take the remaining 30%.

This cooperation is part of a larger investment initiative by UBM in Kazakhstan, with a total volume of around 50 million euros. As part of this initiative, a laboratory and a training center will also be built in the southern part of the country alongside the premix plant.

The UBM Group is one of Hungary’s largest grain traders and compound feed producers and is already active in 15 countries.
