CE Glass – Increased production capacities

CE Glass has expanded its production capacities and facilities in Szeged with an investment volume of almost HUF 5 billion (approx. EUR 12.5 million) using EU funding. The CE Glass production and logistics center in Szatymaz, on the outskirts of Szeged, was inaugurated in 2012. The company manufactures flat glass for windows and doors and offers interior design solutions.

As part of the project, an 8,000 square meters hall was built using renewable energy technologies. The modernization has enabled the company to cut its costs and significantly reduce its waste rate.

Romania is traditionally CE Glass’ most important foreign market, but Slovakia, Austria and the former Yugoslavia are also significant customers.

The family-owned CE Glass increased its net turnover with 45 employees to HUF 5 billion (EUR 12.5 million) last year, compared to HUF 4.6 billion (EUR 11.5 million) in 2022. Profit after tax amounted to HUF 875 million (EUR 2 million) in 2022 and HUF 590 million (EUR 1.475 million) last year.
