ZF Chassis Modules Hungary Kft. – a subsidiary of the ZF Group – has handed over a new factory building in the industrial park of Kecskemét. It will manufacture axle modules for electric cars here as a supplier to the Mercedes plant.
The German ZF Group invested EUR 14.6 million in the 16,000 square meters hall. With this investment, ZF is creating around 450 new jobs despite fully automated production lines.
The Group has been based in Hungary since 1996. It is also currently building a new plant in Debrecen, which will supply BMW. In the last completed fiscal year, the ZF Group generated net sales of HUF 302 billion (EUR 755 million) with more than 1,600 employees in Hungary and achieved a double-digit increase in profits to a good HUF 3.1 billion (EUR 7.75 million).
