The drugstore chain Rossmann Magyarország plans to hand over a 28,000 square meters logistics center in Üllő by the end of 2025. In addition, 4,000 square meters of offices are to be built here.
As part of the HUF 20 billion (EUR 52.6 million) investment, a semi-automated warehouse will be built. It is not only unique in the Hungarian retail sector, but will also enable further expansion. The warehouse technology is a combination of the proven PickByLight and Voice Picking technology supplied by SSI Schaefer.
Panattoni Hungary Development Kft is the developer of the project. The owner of the complex will be the OTP Real Estate Investment Fund.
The Rossmann chain opened its first Hungarian store in Debrecen 30 years ago. Rossmann has since opened 254 stores in more than 150 Hungarian cities.
Rossmann Magyarország achieved a turnover of HUF 137 billion (EUR 357.7 million) last year with the sale of approximately 150 million products.
