Aldi International IT Services Kft. – Global IT Center in Debrecen

Aldi built an IT service center in Debrecen, which will also determine the global activities of the German discounter.

The state will invest HUF 1.2 billion (EUR 3.1 million) with HUF 120 million (EUR 310 thousand), as 50 highly qualified jobs will be created here. The company is looking for young professionals and IT specialists from the region who can speak foreign languages.

The office will also be a key element for the global activities of the German company, which already has around 160 branches and a large logistics center in this country and supplies its entire network with green electricity. Aldi’s entire global network, more than 200,000 employees, more than 7,000 stores and 80 logistics centers, will be served from Debrecen.

Founded in 2018, Aldi International IT Services Kft. provides IT support for the Aldi Süd Group, manages the IT systems of more than 4,000 Aldi stores in Europe and 55 logistics centers and office buildings, provides business and administrative services, develops software, provides almost 500 services and employs more than 700 people.

Today, around 180,000 people work in the IT services sector in this country. Last year, the sector’s production value reached HUF 4,000 billion (EUR 10.3 billion), an increase of 19% in one year, with an export value of about HUF 1,000 billion (EUR 2.5 billion).
