Resysten Science & Research Kft. has inaugurated a new laboratory in the incubator building of the University of Szeged (SZTE). The company is engaged in the research and development of hygiene protective coatings. Resysten is already represented in over 20 countries worldwide.
The company produces durable coatings that utilise the photo-oxidation properties of titanium dioxide to prevent the adhesion and spread of various pathogens. They are now used to protect the health of millions of people in hospitals, public transport, sports facilities, educational institutions, multinational corporations and shopping malls. Resysten Science & Research Kft., owned by the Columbus Private Equity Fund, was established in 2021.
The incubator house is the first investment of the science park being built next to the ELI-ALPS research centre. The municipal works development of the 100-hectare park will start soon and will receive state funding of HUF 9.5 billion (EUR 25.3 million). There is strong interest on the part of investors in the university-owned development areas.
