Chinese-owned Halms Hungary Kft. is investing more than EUR 40 million (approx. HUF 16 billion) to set up a new plant to manufacture components for electric cars in Debrecen. The investment, which will create 300 new jobs, is supported by the Hungarian government with around HUF 1.5 billion (EUR 3.7 million).
The parent company, Huashuo Technology Co. Ltd., provides innovative, integrated solutions for the world’s automobile and electric vehicle manufacturers and mainly manufactures aluminum components. Due to the optimistic future regarding the construction of e-vehicles, the company has decided to invest in Debrecen, where it will operate digitized, automated production lines in order to have a closer collaboration with its European customers.
Huashou’s investment will be the third Chinese investment in the city’s southern business park.
