The development of the BudaPart quarter near the Kopaszi Dam is one-third complete. So far, 850 apartments in 5 buildings, 40,000 square meters of rentable office space in 2 office buildings and 15,000 square meters of retail space on the ground floor of the buildings have been completed.
A further 180 apartments and the Downdown office building, which houses a four-star hotel with 200 rooms, are to be handed over shortly.
The project started in 2015 and is to be fully completed by 2030. Nearly 3,000 apartments in 15 residential buildings, around 250,000 square meters of office space in 12 office buildings and 23,800 square meters of commercial space are being built on an area of 54 hectares.
In the first construction phases, the inner-city part of the district will be developed with pedestrian and shopping streets and more green spaces further south. The central park extends over 3 hectares and offers numerous recreational opportunities, community gardens, dog running sites and playgrounds. By the end of the development project, 26 hectares will remain a green area, incorporating one of the largest public parks in Budapest.
BudaPart is the largest real estate project in the history of Budapest and has won the Best Neighborhood Development award at the international real estate competition in Paris.
