Budapest Airport (BA) has spent over HUF 70 billion (EUR 198 million) on the development of Ferenc Liszt International Airport over the past three years. Developments will continue in the coming years with the reopening of Terminal 1 and the construction of the new Terminal 3. Terminal 1 is expected to be completed by summer 2024 and Terminal 3 by 2028.

In recent years, BA has built a new passenger pier with 14 piers, the new BUD Cargo City air freight base and a new baggage sorting hall. New security channels for passengers were opened, new escalators and elevators were handed over, and the number of baggage handling machines and automatic passport control points was increased.
