Becton Dickinson – More syringes from Környe

With an investment of  HUF 70 billion (EUR 184 million), the US medical technology company, Becton Dickinson is creating 300 new jobs in Környe. The government is providing state subsidies of HUF 4.4 billion (EUR 11,5 million) for this purpose.

With the three new production lines, the company is increasing its production capacity for syringes. Production is expected to start at the end of 2024. Of the 4 billion prefillable syringes produced annually worldwide, 3 billion are made by Becton Dickinson. The company currently employs 1,600 people in Hungary, and the capacity of 400 million syringes manufactured in this country is to be increased to 1 billion with the investment that has now been announced.
