A project to recover methane extracted with thermal water from nine wells has been launched in Szeged as part of the Swiss-Hungarian Cooperation Programme.
According to the investor Geo Hőterm Kft., gas separator units will be installed at all nine geothermal wells of the city’s district heating system. The captured and purified methane gas will then be utilized in modern, process-controlled burner furnaces.
