Júlia-Malom Kft. has inaugurated a new pelleting facility for wheat bran-based feed supplements in Kunszállás (Bács-Kiskun County).
The total investment amounted to approximately HUF 2.2 billion (EUR 5.6 million), of which HUF 1.15 billion (EUR 2.9 million) was provided as a government grant. HUF 437 million (EUR 1.1 million) was allocated specifically for the construction of the pellet production unit. This investment allows the company to further process and add value to its existing bran-based animal feed.
The facility was developed in cooperation with Vitafort Zrt., headquartered in Dabas. During the pelleting process, mineral and vitamin blends as well as premixes produced by Vitafort are added to the wheat bran, a byproduct of the milling process, resulting in finished feed supplement products.
Júlia-Malom Kft. established its first mill over 20 years ago. The company currently supplying three million tonnes of grain annually to farmers and local producers. The company commissioned its second mill in 2006, followed by a third in 2008. Later, it expanded its operations with the construction of multiple silos.
