Ministry of Economic Development – Expanded framework for recruitment support

The funding framework for the EU co-financed project “Expansion and Improvement of Labor Supply,” aimed at supporting the employment of jobseekers over the age of 30, has been increased from HUF 78.41 billion to HUF 175.67 billion (EUR 448 million), representing an increase of nearly HUF 100 billion (EUR 255.1 million), the Ministry of Economic Development announced.

The goal remains unchanged, to integrate jobseekers and inactive individuals aged 30 to 64 into employment. With the help of the subsidies, more than 17,000 people over 30 have already found employment in the primary labor market, and nearly 8,000 have started training programs.

By August 31, 2029, the program aims to support 83,072 previously inactive individuals, at least 65% of whom are considered disadvantaged in the labor market.

Companies employing participants under a formal employment relationship may receive a wage subsidy of up to 50% of the gross salary, capped at HUF 300,000 (EUR 765) per month. The subsidy can be granted for a fixed period of 4 or 6 months. The monthly amount ranges between 70% and 150% of the minimum wage, that is, from HUF 203,560 (EUR 519) to HUF 436,200 (EUR 1,112).
