German company ParTec AG plans to invest approximately EUR 3 billion in a data center in Hungary, which is expected to have twice the capacity of the Jülich Supercomputing Center.
The choice of location is based not only on energy security and the country’s stability but also on the availability of highly skilled professionals. According to the specialist portal 4investors.de, ParTec plans to build a so-called modular hyperscale AI data center with a capacity of 96 MW near Paks on the Danube. The facility is to be developed alongside a solar park spanning 530 hectares.
