The establishment of a Knowledge Center for the automotive industry in Győr has been announced, with an investment of HUF 4.2 billion (EUR 10.5 million).
The center is to be built by the end of 2028, covering 3,200 square meters and equipped with state-of-the-art technologies.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, five knowledge centers will be established nationwide to strengthen dual education. These centers will specialize in different fields: IT in Budapest, mechanical engineering in Dunaújváros, food and confectionery in Szerencs, electronics in Balatonfüred, and specialized automotive industry in Győr. These five sectors are considered crucial for the Hungarian economy. A total of HUF 21.4 billion (EUR 53.5 million) in funding is available for the five interregional vocational training centers. The new centers will be developed in collaboration with universities and companies.
