Unilever has invested HUF 23 billion (over EUR 60 million) in its Nyírbátor site to increase capacity of its household chemicals plant.
Unilever Kft. is creating 80 jobs with this project. In the second phase of the project, a fully automated high bay warehouse of 8,000 square meters was put into operation. The multinational company realised this major investment entirely from its own funds. As a result of the investment, the annual capacity of the plant will increase from 300 to 500 million tonnes of homecare products.
Unilever was able to increase net sales from 99.4 to HUF 121.5 billion (EUR 317.2 million) and net profit from 2.9 to HUF 3.8 billion (EUR 9.9 million) in 2022.
