Talentis Agro Zrt. inaugurated a new irrigation system in Kamut (Békés County). The investment of HUF 1.7 billion (EUR 4.3 million) received state and EU subsidies of over HUF 1 billion (EUR 2.5 million).
Talentis Agro, which is owned by the Mészáros Group, has approximately 60,000 hectares of agricultural land, 48,000 of which are arable land.
To date, Talentis Agro has spent almost HUF 6 billion (EUR 15.1 million) on irrigation systems on over 7,000 hectares.
The portfolio of Talentis Agro Zrt. includes a number of farms as well as production facilities for food raw materials and consumer goods. Its main profile is arable and livestock farming. A significant part of the production capacity is used for seed production and food processing. The food division is active in the production of milled and baked goods, fruit processing and viticulture.
