The French SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions is expanding its capacities in Oroszlány. As part of the investment of HUF 9.6 billion (EUR 25 million), the largest European production capacity for water treatment membranes will be created here by September 2024, as well as 85 new jobs. The state supports the development with HUF 1.7 billion (EUR 4 million).

Some of SUEZ’s divisions, including the Oroszlány plant, were taken over by Veolia, also a French company which, with more than 3,000 employees, is one of the leading players in the Hungarian energy, water and waste management markets. The primary business areas of SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions Hungary Kft. include the manufacture of equipment for drinking and industrial water treatment and waste water treatment, as well as the supply of UN peacekeeping forces and NATO troops.
