The Indian Motherson Group has announced an investment worth HUF 39 billion (approx. EUR 100 million). The project will create 155 new jobs in Mosonszolnok, Mosonmagyaróvár, Túrkeve, and Kecske. Government support of HUF 9 billion (EUR 23.7 million) is being provided for the investment.
The company is expanding its capacities to supply large volumes of rearview mirrors and bumpers to the local plants of BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Motherson Group is also bringing R&D activities to Hungary, focusing on the development of AI-based sensors and visual technologies for rearview mirrors, as well as the establishment of service centers intended to support engineering tasks, IT, and finance across Eastern Europe.
The Indian group is one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers and is present in more than 40 countries.
