The insurance company has acquired a majority stake in the Alpha fund manager. With this transaction, a name change to Signal Iduna Fund Invest Alapkezelő Zrt. was completed.
Signal Iduna is one of the largest insurance groups in Germany, with premium income of EUR 6.5 million, almost double the complete Hungarian market volume. Client assets under management in Germany exceed EUR 100 million. The new Hungarian fund wants to score especially in the ETF segment. The former co-founder of the Alpha Fund, Csaba Temesvári, will be in charge of the new company.
