The French pharmaceutical group Sanofi is expanding its service center in Budapest, adding 500 new positions to reach a total of 2,200 employees. In addition to finance, customer service, and HR management, the center will now also handle clinical trials and data analysis services.
Over the past ten years, the Hungarian government has supported 116 shared service center (SSC) projects with a total of HUF 20 billion (EUR 51.2 million) in subsidies, leading to the creation of more than 22,000 jobs. Four out of five employees in these centers hold a university degree, the average age is 34.5 years, and 75–85% are Hungarian citizens. It is also noteworthy that a quarter of these services are provided outside of Budapest.
