The US manufacturer of household and personal care products is investing an additional HUF 72 billion (approx. EUR 185 million) in Gyöngyös and Csömör as part of four new projects. Products manufactured in Hungary are exported to more than 50 countries worldwide.
With these new developments, Procter & Gamble’s total investment volume in Hungary will approach EUR 500 million. As the company plans to create around 200 new jobs in addition to the 2,000 existing positions at the two sites, the Hungarian state is supporting the projects with HUF 18 billion (EUR 45 million) in subsidies.
The Gyöngyös plant primarily manufactures electric toothbrushes, while Csömör focuses on female hygiene products. The two remaining projects are related to research and development and employee training.
