Four new grid-integrated energy storage systems have been commissioned in the service area of OPUS TITÁSZ Zrt. The development, valued at nearly HUF 4 billion (EUR 10 million), was carried out with support from the Ministry of Energy through the Modernization Fund. It enables the grid to absorb even more electricity from renewable energy sources.
OPUS TITÁSZ Zrt. is continuously expanding its electricity network to efficiently meet growing electricity demand and integrate the increasing share of weather-dependent generation capacities.
The new grid-integrated storage units were installed by OPUS TITÁSZ in Rakamaz (2.75 MWh), Aranyosapáti (3.65 MWh), Csenger (6.9 MWh), and Nyírlugos (2.58 MWh). Together, the units have a total output of 4.5 MW and a nominal storage capacity of 15.88 MWh.
