Magyar Suzuki Zrt. – Energy efficiency investmensts in Esztergom

Magyar Suzuki Zrt. has invested over HUF 9 billion (EUR 22.5 million) in Esztergom for production development and energy efficiency improvements.

The state supported the Japanese car manufacturer’s project with HUF 1.9 billion (EUR 4.75 million). As part of the project, the company expanded the capacities of its bumper production, paint shop, and welding plant, while making significant progress toward carbon-neutral operations.

Esztergom is Suzuki’s only manufacturing plant in Europe, along with a logistics center and IT service operations. More than one-third of its suppliers are Hungarian companies. Last year, Suzuki became the market leader in Hungary for the 21st time, holding a 13–14% share of new car sales.

Japanese companies currently make up the ninth-largest investor community in Hungary, nearly 200 companies employ around 30,000 people.
