Magnus Aircraft’s Chinese subsidiary, Jiangsu Magnus Aircraft Manufacturing Company – a subsidiary of Pécs-Pogány based Magnus Aircraft Zrt. (Magnus) – will set up a new manufacturing base in Wuxi, China (a city of 7 million people) with an investment of close to EUR 90 million.
As part of the investment, an 18,000 square meters complex with a showroom, an aircraft assembly and maintenance units, a development center and 300 jobs will be created. The planned units are expected to be able to turn out more than 2,800 of the Hungarian-developed Fusion aircraft and over 400 four-seater aircraft within nine years.
Hungarian-owned Magnus Aircraft Zrt. built an assembly and composite plant at Pécs-Pogány Airport between 2017 and 2019 with a grant of HUF 2 billion (EUR 4.9 million) and an investment of HUF 6 billion (EUR 14.8 million). Magnus currently employs 100 people, and the number of employees is to be increased by 15 by the end of the year.
