The Kravtex-Kühne Group will supply 869 new Credobus Econell 12 Next buses to the Volán fleet. As part of a procurement process worth around HUF 75 billion (EUR 187.5 million), Kravtex Kereskedelmi Kft. submitted the only valid bid.
131 of the new Credobus vehicles have already arrived for this year’s high season and are being deployed on Volán routes. A total of 269 buses will be delivered by the end of this year, with the final unit scheduled for delivery by the end of 2027.
Since the new buses for the MÁV Group are being manufactured in Mosonmagyaróvár and Győr, the investment will replace imports worth several tens of billions of forints, protect 500 Hungarian jobs, and provide work for more than 100 domestic suppliers. With the acquisition, the share of Hungarian-made Credobus vehicles in the Volán fleet could rise from the current 45% to approximately 60% by the end of 2027.
