The Austrian KNAPP AG is setting up a new plant in Nemesvámos (near Veszprém). The manufacturer of conveyor systems and warehouse logistics equipment invested almost EUR 16.7 million.
KNAPP Hungary Kft. has taken over the former production site of MTD Hungária Kft. As part of the follow-up investment, a fully automated high-rise warehouse is to be built. The project is expected to be fully implemented by the end of March 2023, initially creating 250 new jobs and followed by an additional 250 by 2027.
With 6,200 employees, the Graz-based KNAPP Group had sales of around EUR 1.1 billion last year.
