J-Star Hungary Motion is launching a new production line at its factory in Kaposvár. The company is focusing on robotic technology and local labor. It exports its products mainly to partners in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, and Sweden.
At the end of the test phase in mid-May, the full production line will enter regular operation with 100 workers, and will quickly be expanded to a two-shift schedule. This will result in a doubling of the workforce.
The J-Star Motion plant in Kaposvár is the Chinese company’s third facility in Europe. The Kaposvár site is being built with an investment volume of over EUR 60 million. Jiecang Linear Motion Technology, the parent company, headquartered in Jiecang, produces smart motion solutions for offices, medical applications, and smart homes. With a turnover of EUR 450 million, the company is a global market leader.
